The activities in this section are aimed mainly at people over 60 but others are welcome to join in. All other sections of the website contain activities and services which may also be of interest to older people. Happy Bus Outings

Singing Nostalgia
Thursdays 11am -1 pm
Thursdays 11am -1 pm Open to and attracting people of all ages. Run by Androcles who is a member of the national Help for Heroes Choir. Several people attend with outstandingly good singing voices but the emphasis is on people any one present who wants to joining in. Those who just want to listen can. Free but a contribution to tea/coffee, mini buffet welcome. Just drop in between 11-1 to enjoy this happy, community event.

WACi Arts Group
Tuesdays 1pm to 4pm
£1.50 contribution to art materials and refeshments
Friendly arts group for everybody. We meet to do art and chat over tea, coffee and biscuits.

Gentle Exercise
Tuesdays 10.30 – 11.30

Everyone is welcome to group exercise with music in the WAC main hall every Tuesday morning with Sheila Dickie.

Sewing Group
Tuesday 1.30pm to 4pm
£1 Voluntary Contribution
Everybody welcome, no experience needed as we have an experienced tutor to help you. Sewing machines etc. available. You can bring your own items from home to alter and upcycle, or start something new from scratch bringing your own fabrics.

Tea Dance

Advance booking only
Jean Le Clerc, your Mc, will provide music and dance. These include Foxtrot, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Swing, Latin, Quickstep, Circle dance, Sequence, Line dance, Disco and Party Dance. Occasionally we will also have some local artists performing, all in a relaxed and convivial French atmosphere. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink.

Crochet and Knitting Group

Beginners welcome. Anyone is welcome to come and crochet or knit anything they want to in this friendly and social group. Group leader Bea and the other members of the group will be on hand to help each other out if needed.

Mauritian Pensioners Group
Thursdays 12pm – 3pm
Friendship group for chatting and bingo in French. Welcomes all French speakers

Men's Group

The Men’s Group meet every week to socialise and talk about life, anything and everything. Tea and coffee provided.
