Reception volunteers needed for Waterloo Action Centre!
Weekdays 9 am – 5pm , but divided into half day slots 9am -1pm or 1pm -5. Vacancies coming up for Monday and Tuesday pms and both sessions Thursday and Friday. Also a back up role – someone who could come if the regular can’t cover a session.
Duties – helping people who come into WAC or phone either to access one of WACs services or find out where else they can get help, sometimes in desperate situations , not knowing where to turn. The role requires good listening skills, patience, and knowledge of local resources or willingness to learn. For more info contact jennystileswac@gmail.com
